The president of the Monroe County (Woodsfield) Fairboard told horsemen that horses must have a current Coggins Test before they can be unloaded on the grounds. A Paulding County fairboard member warned them that the commision would be checking to see that this edict is enforced for all fairs, even those with no betting. This pertains to every horse, even 4H.

I have not heard of any horses found with EIA ( swamp fever) but there must have been somewhere, otherwise the commission would not be such a hard ass about a Coggins Test.

I think vets send samples to the state laboratory for testing. Someone is probably protecting jobs at the lab.
